One of Kelly's great passions is teaching yoga to kids. Over the past seven years, Kelly has developed a playful and imaginative kids yoga program that she teaches once a week at Karuna Yoga. The kids love it! She also goes into schools to teach weekly 20-minute yoga classes from kindergarten thru high school.
Why is kid's yoga so great? Kids learn how to move and breathe to strengthen their nervous systems. A strong nervous system helps kids feel calm in their bodies and minds. Kids that feel calm are better able to focus, learn, relate to others and are at ease being themselves. Our kid's yoga classes use movement, breath, imagination, play, meditation and rest. Topics Include: Kid Friendly Poses, Kid Friendly Meditation, Kid Friendly Mantra/Sound Current, Kid Friendly Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Games, Dance & Yoga, Art & Yoga. Training Includes: 30 Total Hours, 21 Hours Lecture & Practice, 4 Hours Observing & Assisting, 5 Hours Homework, Training & Supplemental Material, Letter of Completion & Certificate. Come join this specialty class - emphasizing stretching, breathing and fun! Kelly brings her expertise of kids and adult yoga to create a class in which moms/dads/grandparents/care-givers bond with their little ones in this very important time of child development. Calm yourself and your child while having a Super Fun time in this specialty class. Parents need time to breathe and move and the kids LOVE sharing yoga with parents. This class encourages playful, attentive and loving bonds between parents and kids for more joy in the family. Ages 3 & up.

Embracing the changes in a woman's body during pregnancy, this class combines movement, meditation and restorative poses. By focusing on breath, women develop the practical and powerful tools to calm and center themselves - gaining strength, stamina and grace. Kelly designs classes that strengthen the nervous system so that women feel grounded and confident. We create a community of women that support, guide, and care for each other throughout this magical time of life.
